Camp Staff

Would you like to trade in your down jacket for a Crystal Staff t-shirt? Apply for a summer job as a member of the Crystal Conference Center Site Staff!  Staff work in all areas of guest services – kitchen, grounds, and program.

Each year, our Crystal Managers, UCCR, is seeking lifeguards, adventure staff, experienced cooks and kitchen assistants, and motivated, flexible, individuals who just love the camp experience and being outdoors.

If you have a love for others, a desire to share Christ, and energy to burn, then prayerfully consider joining the Crystal Team!

The summer camp and retreat program runs from May through September each year.

For more information talk to the UCCR Human Resources team at 800-678-5102.

Volunteer Opportunities at Crystal

We have two scheduled events preparing the camp for summer events and closing the Center in the fall. We also welcome church groups and individuals who would consider doing volunteer work at the Conference Center on other occasions.

Spring Volunteer Work Weekend
Memorial Day is one of several spring work sessions at Crystal, preparing the conference center for a summer of campers. Below are a few photos of hard work provided by previous workers. This is a fun time for you and your friends and family.

Fall Volunteer Work Weekend
Each year we count on you and other volunteers to help us close camp for the winter. Saturday meals and Sunday breakfast are provided. It’s a great weekend to catch fall activities in the Frankfort area.

Special Groups Work Weekends
We welcome church groups and individuals who would consider doing volunteer work at the Conference Center on other occasions.

Extra Volunteers for Spring & Fall
After the busy summer camp season, Crystal Conference Center is a bit quieter and reflective, the changing seasons bring a different beauty to its lake and woods. Site staff and campers go back home to schools and jobs. However, we do have a few groups and retreats scheduled in late spring and summer, and early fall.Volunteers are needed to help with these events; assisting with meal preparation and clean-up, housekeeping, and grounds upkeep, etc. This is an opportunity to experience everything “Crystal” at beautiful times of the year. Besides you would be a huge help to us.

Contact the Regional Office at info@michigandisciples.org to participate in any of these volunteer work events.

Crystal Conference Center is a ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Michigan Region, www.michigandisciples.org.
