Here all types of families and individuals help to build a beloved community—and in doing so enrich their spirits for the return home to continue reshaping their local communities. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. used the term “Beloved Community” to describe the world we are trying to co-create with God, a community in which everyone is cared for, absent of poverty, hunger, war, & hate. This camp strives to be welcoming to all, specifically aiming to create space for single parents, grandparents who are primary caregivers, LGBTQIA+ people, and those with disabilities.
