Facilities Usage

Several facilities are available during the year for use by groups or individuals who are part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Michigan Region congregations and ecumenical church partners (eg. United Church of Christ, Presbytrian, Methodist, etc.).  Following is a description of these facilities and some common rules. We welcome your use of these retreat settings.

Common Rules:

Mission House

The Mission House was originally donated to the United Christian Missionary Society to serve missionaries as a training location or a place to rest before returning to the field. It now is part of Crystal Conference Center. Mission House is fully accessible on the ground level, with an additional four bedrooms and bath on the second level that comfortably sleeps up to thirteen people. Accommodations include full kitchen, bedding, living area with TV/DVD, deck with lake view, and access to the tennis court. Lakeside water sports available with responsible adult; no lifeguard service. All facilities are non-smoking and pets are not allowed in the buildings.

Mission House is available June 1 - September 30.

Cedar Lodge

Cedar Lodge has four large bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 4-8 persons, and two bathrooms with shower. Linens are not provided. Common area includes a TV/DVD and kitchenette with small appliances. The downstairs area is available for storing athletic equipment.

Cedar Lodge is available during the off-season.

The Oaks

The Oaks serves as the Dean's Digs/Nurse's Quarters during the camping season, and is available for retreats on a limited basis. The Oaks includes a common living area, refrigerators in selected rooms, and three bedrooms that comfortably sleep a total of 7-10 persons. You may reserve one or more rooms.

The Oaks is available June 1 - September 30.

Pioneer Cottage

Pioneer Cottage is the oldest building on site recently renovated for use by Michigan clergy families as a respite and retreat location. Pioneer Cottage sits on the bluff overlooking Crystal Lake. Pioneer is a loft-like layout with a queen bed, kitchenette, sitting area, bathroom with shower, and bunk room that sleeps four.

Pioneer Cottage is available June 1 - September 30.
